Liquid Agency Sponsors the Brand Recovery Summit 2002

The event brought together technology brand marketing executives to discuss the challenges being faced by tech brands and to map strategies for the future.

San Jose, Ca (March 18, 2002) - Liquid Agency, a top brand marketing agency providing strategy, design and implementation of comprehensive marketing programs, was the primary sponsor behind the Brand Recovery Summit 2002, which took place on February 28, 2002, at the Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon Bay. The Co-Sponsors included Neale-May & Partners, The Sausalito Group and GlobalFluency - companies that provide marketing, public relations and research for technology clients worldwide.

The Brand Recovery Summit brought together over sixty of Silicon Valley's top brand marketing executives to discuss the challenges being faced by technology brands and to map strategies for success in the future. The participants gathered in intimate round table discussions lead by the highest ranking brand builders from the world's top technology companies, and addressed specific topics, arriving at a set of conclusions from morning and afternoon sessions.

The round table discussions were led by top level brand executives from the following leading technology companies: 3Com, Adobe, Cisco, Compaq, Computer Associates, ePiphany, Intel, PalmSource and Sun Microsystems. The discussions centered about issues relevant to technology branding during challenging times and included such topics as: "How to maintain brand-building momentum in challenging business times" which was led by Ron Ricci, VP of Market Positioning at Cisco; "How to optimize the role of CEO as brand champion" which was led by John Loiacono, Chief Marketing Officer for Sun Microsystems.

The event was completely sold out, and provided the participants with an exciting opportunity to share experiences, discuss challenges, listen to new ideas and arrive at strategies designed to help companies restore confidence in technology brands. The summit also included informative presentations by Brand Finance, the tompeterscompany! and GlobalFluency, enabling participants to gain valuable insight into the world of brand value measurement; the challenges to build the brand with every employee; and the opportunities to create global brand leadership by using a CNN-style infrastructure.
